AN EASTER egg roll is taking place this weekend as part of a fundraising campaign to refurbish Huttons Ambo Village Hall.
Members of the village hall committee want to raise funds to refurbish the kitchen and toilet facilities in the hall, which is regularly used by a number of groups, including the art club, the monthly village social The Meeting Point and quarterly quizzes.
Committee member Liz Ellis said they were continuing to investigate funding opportunities and raise money towards the refurbishment.
“The whole village is behind the fundraising effort and both the Burns Night celebration and the Valentine’s quiz night were well attended and enjoyed by all,” she said.
The latest fundraiser is a Big Egg Roll and Brunch on Easter Monday, from 11am, when brunch will be available, along with egg decoration activities for the children on the village green.
This will be followed by an Easter egg hunt at noon and the Big Egg Roll Competition.
