STAFF at a Norton shop braved the cold to raise money for a charity tackling youth homelessness.
Four colleagues from the One Stop shop took part in SASH’s annual Big Sleepout, which raises awareness of youth homelessness and raise money for the Nightstop service, providing accommodation for youngsters in crisis.
Josie Newton, Matthew Wall, Vera Borrett and Rebecca Johnson slept on the streets of York for the night, along with a number of other fundraisers.
Josie said: “We want to show that One Stop is getting involved in the local community and we want to support more charities.
“We were all really looking forward to it, but weren’t sure what to expect other than that it would be cold at night.”
To donate to SASH, visit One Stop in Hambleton Road, or phone 01653 693018.
