PICKERING Conservative Club celebrated its centenary by raising money for two charities.
Lee Taylor, Bill Beaumont, Paul Ridley and Jed Edwards grew Movember moustaches, collecting £500 in sponsorship for Scarborough RNLI and Pickering Cubs and Scouts.
Conservative Club committee member Sue Atkinson said: “We felt that as men’s moustaches were also in vogue 100 years ago it was a fitting way to mark the anniversary.
“We also wanted to do something to support local charities and were delighted with the amount raised.”
