Malton police are appealing for information following a burglary and theft near the town.
It occurred overnight between Saturday, January 4 and Sunday, January 5 from a farm on the Hovingham to Malton road.
As well as stealing a green Kawasaki quad bike, registration number YX56EUL, the thieves also took a large number of power tools including Stihl chainsaws, strimmer and leaf blowers, a Hayter lawnmower, a Briggs and Stratton water pump. They also stole a Karcher power washer, a Snap-on impact gun, boxed drills and socket sets.
PC Paul Fenwick, of the Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “If you saw any unusual people or vehicles acting in a suspicious manner in the Hovingham area during the time burglary and theft occurred, I urge you to contact the police straight away. I am also keen to speak to anyone who may have noticed activity they thought was out of the ordinary and urge them to get in touch.”
PC Fenwick added: “If you have been offered the stolen quad bike or power tools matching the description of those stolen, I ask that you contact the police as soon as possible.”
