REINDEER, mulled wine and face painting kept visitors to the fifth annual Kirkbymoorside Christmas markets entertained and also boosted profits for local shop owners.
Stalls including arts and crafts and hot pork sandwiches were at the packed market on Saturday which organisers say was a great day for traders and local businesses.
One of the founding members of the Kirkbymoorside Business Partnership, Allie Gunton, said: “The markets were founded to raise the profile of the town so that it supports local shopping as well. It has been really successful and both traders and shop owners have said that they had a really good day.”
Children were also kept entertained with the new additions of face painting and various activities held in the library.
Allie said: “In particular I would also like to thank Maureen and Renee Stuip who did a lot of the stall bookings.”
