YORK youngsters are being invited to Play In The Park this summer.
City of York Athletic Club are running a series of holiday activities at West Bank Park, Rawcliffe Country Park and Acomb Green for all abilities and ages.
Families are being encouraged to attend and take part in the free activities, which include relays, school sports day style races, tig, stick in the mud, throwing and catching games, hop-scotch, rounders and other playground games.
Becky Campsall, of City of York Athletic Club, said the turnout from the first week at the three venues was “amazing” and that feedback had been positive.
All the sessions are being staged from 1pm to 3pm on the following days: Tuesdays, August 6, 13, 20 and 27 – Rawcliffe Country Park Wednesdays, August 7, 14, 21 and 28 – Acomb Green Thursdays, August 8, 15, 22 and 29 – West Bank Park.
