THE Kirkham Henry Performing Arts Centre in Malton is set to build an extension to its headquarters at Horsemarket Road.
It will provide extra studios for youngsters attending the arts centre, together with changing rooms and storage facilities.
Malton Town Council has recommended approval of the plan to Ryedale District Council, together with a scheme for the building of an agricultural storage building for the Fitzwilliam Trust Corporation at Lowfield Farm.
The council has also supported the following plans: warehouse and offices at J M Packaging Ltd, York Road Industrial Estate; extension and alterations at Royal Dry Cleans, Yorkersgate; advertising signs for Taylor Wimpey at Broughton Road; conversion and alteratons of retail premises to ice cream parlour, coffee shop and bistro, at 55-57 Market Place; change of use and alterations to warehouse to retail showroom and warehouse with staff facilities at Ashley Cooke Carpets, Castlegate.
