SCARBOROUGH & Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team has received a much-needed donation from Pickering-based Wayside Holiday Park.
Wayside Holiday Park has agreed to support the team over a three- year period by donating an undisclosed sum.
Mark Goodson, managing director of Wayside Holiday Park, said: “The Scarborough & Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team provide a vital service to the communities of North and East Yorkshire. It is important that the team continue to be able to provide high-quality services and I’m proud that Wayside Holiday Park is able to contribute to the future of this essential emergency service.”
Ian Hugill, spokesperson for Scarborough & Ryedale Mountain Rescue Team, said: “We’re delighted that this local business has recognised the importance of the service that we provide and that they are prepared to provide us with a financial cushion. The team still needs to raise cash to meet our annual running costs, but the sum from Wayside does give us a little breathing space.”
