NAWTON Tower Garden, near Beadlam, is open to the public from Saturday until Monday as part of the National Gardens Scheme Gardens Open For Charity.
This large garden, owned by the Douglas Ward Trust, contains all manner of plants and flowers, including heathers, rhododendrons, azaleas, shrubs, bluebells, bulbs and trees, and there is some wheelchair access.
The garden is open from 2pm- 5pm, tickets cost £1.50 adults/ 50p children. Phone 01439 771218.
