MALTON and Norton Musical Theatre’s 2018 pantomime takes to the stage this week.
This year’s production is Aladdin, written by Alan P Frayn and directed by Rory Queen and Mark Boler.
Musical direction is by Gill Boler with choreography by Rebecca Neacsu. The panto features Charlie Armstrong as Aladdin, Ben Greenhough - Wishee Washee, Rory Queen as panto dame Widow Twankey, Abi Rennison - Princess Mandarin, Rebecca Heslop - So Shy, Mike Mitchell - Emperor, Thomas Jennings - Abanazar, Chris Ray as the Genie, Eve Hargreaves and Alice Jennings as Spirit of the Ring, Kyle Cass and Sam Piercy as Chinese policemen Wong and Pong, and the dancers from Kirkham Henry Performing Arts Centre.
A spokesperson for Malton and Norton Musical Theatre said: “This year’s panto is a hilarious tale of love, loss and redemption among the streets of Old Peking, one for all the family with five matinee performances, and 10 shows in all - don’t miss this.”
Aladdin is at the Milton Rooms in Malton from Friday, January 19 to Saturday, January 27. Evenings at 7.15pm, wiht a Sunday matinee at 3pm.
Saturday 20 and 27 at 1pm and 5pm.
