A CONCERT featuring two of Ryedale’s most popular musical groups is taking place at St Peter’s Church, Norton, on Saturday, November 18, at 7.30pm.

Kirkbymoorside Town Brass Band and Harmonia Choir are joining forces to perform popular music from stage and screen.

The Kirkbymoorside band regularly compete at the North of England area finals and are currently in the highest division, the championship section, a huge achievement for a band made up of homegrown local players.

Harmonia Choir is now in its 10th year and under the musical direction of Alison Davis it has gained an excellent reputation.

For the last two years they have won three trophies at the National Choir Day at the Eskdale Festival in Whitby, including the prestigious recital class.

Both groups regularly perform locally and raise a lot of money for both national and local charities.

Tickets are priced at £8 for adults and £4 for under 16s.

They can be purchased at Massers in Malton on 01653 692468 or JRA Services in Kirkbymoorside on 01751 432142.
