A GIG in aid of a mental health charity will see a Malton bank match all the funds raised.
Organisers at the Halifax Bank say that all proceeds from the charity band night, featuring the local band the Nobodys, will go to Mental Health UK.
The gig will take place at Suddaby’s in Yorkersgate on Friday, from 8pm to 11.30pm.
The evening will also see the venue put on a mini-beer festival and a bottle raffle. Bacon sandwiches will also be available.
It is the third year that the bank has organised a fundraising event - last year’s show saw them raise £500 - and the bank also make a contribution.
Andy Brown at Halifax, which is part of the Lloyds Banking Group, said: “Mental Health UK is Lloyds Banking Group’s charity of the year, and all the funds we raise will be doubled by the bank.”
Entry to the gig is £5.
