Ms Bates said: "“We are so proud of Dane and the girls. Just to see them on BBC1 was amazing enough, but to watch them go all the way through to the semi final is just out of this world.

"We have loved watching their journey in the competition. It’s been such a joyful and exciting experience. We were a little sad to see them go home on Saturday.

"At the same time, we are extremely proud of them all. Especially Dane, after all the pressure of losing Nainy. He’s really pulled it together and did us all proud.

"All in all, it’s a massive achievement for them. The opportunities will be endless for them, following this show I’m sure.

"Even though they went home, they are still our winners. Onwards and upwards. It’s been a true treasure for us to watch."
