WHEN two bodies were found murdered shortly before Christmas on consecutive Sundays at precisely one o’clock, DCI Antonia Hawkins knows she has a serial killer to contend with on her first major case.

There are no leads and nothing to link the bodies. The killer then brutally mutilates another victim, getting more violent each time, with the fourth due to be murdered on Christmas day. DCI Antonia Hawkins begins to think she knows who her man is, only to fail. Having now to face the unlikeable chief superintendent, she is suspended from duty. Can she still take a part in bringing Nemesis down or must she watch from the sidelines with the clock ticking?

This is a fast-paced novel that has the reader gripped. Although we meet the murderer and understand his past, we are not given any clues as to who it is, so the author enables us to have a full rounded view of the criminal and the crimes he commits without going into unsavoury details. This will not take you long to read and lovers of this genre will relish it.
