Charolais X bulls to £915 from B Eddon, Pickering.

Belgian blue bulls to £580 from T M Rickatson, Sheriff Hutton.

Limousin X heifers to £605 from J S & V M Collinson, Gilling East.

Limousin X steers to £530 from R T & G C Headley, Buttercrambe.

Simmental X steers to £505 from P H Emmerson, Hunmanby.

Jacob ewes & lambs to £46 A Gofton, Heslerton.

Suffolk X hoggs to £61 M Sunley, Farndale.

Forward 1,679 head of stock comprising 459 cattle inc 146 young bulls and 39 cows and OTMs, 1,094 sheep inc 943 spring lambs and 125 ewes and 126 pigs inc 65 sows and boars.

Slightly smaller numbers of clean cattle met a firm trade with prices similar to last week. Top price of the day was 199.5p for a Limousin heifer from E P Woodhead & Son, Felixkirk, which was purchased by John Penny & Sons, Rawdon. Steers sold to 190.5p (twice), from R Bowman, Roecliffe to Keelham Hall Farm Shop, Bradford and Heptonstall Farms, Brearton to Woodhead Brothers, Colne.

Young bulls sold to a top price of 174.5p for a Limousin bull from GA & JC Verity, Ellingstring, bought by J & B Fitton, Oldham.

Cows and OTMs numbers were similar with OTMs selling to 148.5p and cows to 130.5p A larger entry of lambs were forward with the top price being £80 and 181.3pp kg from P & S Lofthouse, Grewelthorpe to J Penny & Sons, Rawdon. Ewes sold to a top price of £87.
