MCCLARRONS insurance company has appointed a new farm and equine account executive.

Andy Rhodes joins the Malton-based McClarrons team from national insurance broker, Jelf, where he held the position of farm account executive and associate director.

In this role, Andy worked with a vast array of farm and equine businesses, as well as helping to develop agricultural-based products.

Andy joins McClarrons with more than 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry.

Having worked in both sales and underwriting, he has a strong understanding of not only the technical side of insurance but is also able to understand and help clients with their individual needs – putting together robust insurance solutions for them.

Sean McClarron, managing director of McClarrons, said: “With the business having started out as a rural insurance brokerage, it’s important for us to continue to develop this core part of our history and business.

“Andy brings a huge amount of experience with him to the team and will be a great asset for us at McClarrons, being able to understand the intricacies of farm and equine insurance, as well as being able to share his knowledge with the team and clients.”

Andy said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining McClarrons and to work for a company that is truly committed to providing the very best service to the farming and rural community.

“I’ve known Sean McClarron for several years and McClarrons presents a standout opportunity to deliver uncompromised service, and I cannot wait to get cracking.”

Andy will oversee the area of Malton, covering all the way across to Skipton and up to Harrogate, covering the whole of the A1 corridor.
