ICE cream manufacturer Yorvale took home three awards at the Great Yorkshire Show.

The York-based firm’s vanilla with vanilla pod won gold, along with sea salted caramel, with chocolate orange winning bronze.

Established in 1989, Lesley and Ian Buxton have been making ice cream on the family farm for 30 years.

From humble beginnings the business has grown beyond their expectations and they now have 1350m² of space in which to process their cow’s milk which moves just 100 metres from cow to dairy each day to be made into ice cream, kefir drinking yoghurt and frozen kefir.

Lesley Buxton, director of Yorvale, said: “We are thrilled with the result and the recognition from the judges at the Great Yorkshire Show that Yorvale Ice Cream is worthy of two golds and a bronze.

“A testament to the great work our team do to consistently meet our customers expectation in providing an indulgent, creamy natural ice cream.”
