SCHEDULES are now available for this year’s Farndale Show, which will be held on Bank Holiday Monday, August 26.

The show is a traditional dales show in a spectacular setting with a good selection of stalls, including local artisan food producers.

The show is a great value family day out, with entry for adults £5, children £1 and under fives free.

Attractions in the show ring this year include Phillipa Williams dog agility display and Owl Adventures.

There are lots of new classes throughout the schedule, this year, as well as the traditional ones, including a new range of horse classes, and different baking categories.

For the keen photographer the classes include: Flora and Fauna in Close up, Light and Shade, Old Stone Walls, Portrait of a Farm Animal and Landscape “A Pastoral Scene.

A spokesman for the show said: “We want to encourage children to enter and be involved in the show so this year there is no entry fee for the children’s classes.

“There are ideas of things they can make and do over the summer holidays such as miniature garden and best painted pebble, as well as lots of others.

“Although entry forms still need to be submitted by Saturday, August 10.”

Most classes at Farndale are open to everyone, so if you have never entered a show before why not have ago.

The closing date for entries is Saturday. August 10.
