A RYEDALE netball team won one of the competitions at the Yorkshire Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs (YFYFC) County Public Speaking and Sports Day at Harrogate High School.
Ryedale A won the mixed netball with Harrogate A taking top honours in the mixed rounders competition.
In senior after dinner speaking, the team put forward by Craven A District won. In the competition for the best 10-minute speech, Non Owen of Harrogate District took the top place honours.
Junior YFC Member of the Year was Jacob Ryder, of Farnley Estate, with Charlotte Middlebrook, of Selby, taking the trophy for Senior YFC Member of the Year. Winners will go forward to the Northern Area Weekend, hosted by Durham YFC, in March.
