The show, which will take place at The Showground in Driffield, from 9am, is one of the country’s largest one-day agricultural shows and is organised by the Driffield Agricultural Society.

It attracts about 25,000 visitors every year and is packed with hundreds of stands, rural crafts, horticultural marquees, handicraft and forestry demonstrations.

Meanwhile in the activity area, Adrian Smith, the world’s fifth strongest man and three times winner of UK’s Strongest Man Competition, will present a show geared for family fun with visual humour and audience participation.

The Yorkshire Bouncers Fly Ball Team will be giving visitors the opportunity to experience the speed and excitement of fly ball with their dogs demonstrating this fast growing popular sport.

The rural craft demonstration area will feature traditional skills such as wood turning, coracle making and rope making, traditional basket making, broom and rake making, together with demonstrations of forest skills with a local bodger.

The horticulture marquee will be colourful array of green-fingered exhibitors and new this year is the horticulture theatre where visitors will be able to watch horticulture demonstrations throughout the day.

Continuing with the show’s proud tradition is the popular livestock section featuring cattle, sheep and pigs. The heavy horse section is another popular favourite and in the main ring there will be a packed timetable of equestrian activities ranging from local ridden ponies to jumping classes.
