THE work of the Farming Community Network (FCN) has been recognised with the presentation of a cheque by the local NFU group.
NFU group secretary Geoff Todd presented the cheque to Edward Dennison of the FCN at the biannual FCN Farmers’ lunch at Helmsley Methodist Church.
Mr Todd said: “The local NFU group and NFU members wanted to make this donation in recognition of the valuable work of FCN.
“Our Members practicing across Ryedale have seen first-hand the difficulties faced by our clients and farmers year on year, and we hope this donation can support the hard work of FCN.”
FCN provides support for farmers and farming families which has seen a sharp rise in need over the past year in the region.
