THE sixth annual Wolds Valley Tractor Run takes place on Sunday.

Organised by Paul and Helen Hudson, from Rillington, this year’s event is raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of vintage tractor enthusiast Peter Burton who, died in January and had supported the tractor run for a number of years.

Paul said: “Peter was a real vintage tractor enthusiast and he was always out supporting the day and helped with the organisation of the tractor run over the years.

“His impact on the event is set to continue this year with at least two of his collection of vintage tractors taking part.”

Last year 115 tractors took part in the event which starts at Manor Farm, Wintringham and covers a 37-mile route.

Paul said: “This is the sixth year we have held the event and we are hoping for even more entries.

“We’ve had interest from across the north of England and everyone is invited to come along on the day to see the tractors and support us.”

Entry into the run is £12, which includes lunch. For more details phone Paul and Helen Hudson on 01944 758642 or 07710 757133.
