FRIARS Hill Riding Stables in Sinnington has held the penultimate round of its winter dressage contest series as it moves into the spring season.
Riders in a range of categories entered the competition on Sunday, February 4. The winners were as follows:

The stables’ final dressage competition of the series will be on Sunday, March 4 – entries will close at 9am on Wednesday, February 28.
The stables also held its monthly showjumping competition on Sunday, with Lauren Harris and Nicky taking victories in the 55cm and 65cm, and Sophie Andrews and Apache Warrior claiming wins in the 75cm and 85cm categories.
On Saturday, March 17, the stables is also set to hold a Western-style riding demonstration by Bedale-based Emma Chapman.
Ms Chapman will be bringing along two of her horses to show two very different animals doing western; a trained six-year-old “quarter horse” and an ex-racehorse which she is retraining.
Refreshments will be available to purchase and the stables will also be running a raffle to raise funds for the Great North Air Ambulance
Tickets are available to purchase for £5 per person and can be bought from the office at Friars Hill.
A limited number of tickets may be available to purchase on the day at the cost of £6 subject to availability.
