A NORTH Yorkshire equine trainer has been announced as one of the sponsors for this year’s Liverpool International Horse Show.

Gornall Equestrian, based at Kirk Hammerton near York, has taken up the sponsorship mantle of the CSI 4* 1.45m Speed Class at this year’s Show, which takes place from December 29 to 31.

The event, famed for its thrilling equestrian sport and spectacular family entertainment, will see jumping’s most illustrious names riding in the Gornall Equestrian CSI 4* 1.45m Speed Class on Saturday, December 30.

“We are extremely excited to be sponsoring this fantastic, world-ranking class,” said owner of the company and international showjumper Jamie Gornall. “Doing so really endorses our commitment to top-flight competition and highlights our passion for elite horses with the perfect temperament, outstanding talent and great breeding.”

Jamie will be competing some of his very best breeding stallions in the show’s 4* classes.

From its base in North Yorkshire, Gornall Equestrian has built-up a range of horses, from promising youngsters to established campaigners competing at Grand Prix level.

It also uses its knowledge of bloodlines and breeding to offer a egen pool service to riders and breeders wishing to produce their own future superstars. “I am confident that our competition stallions provide the best possible gene pool for horses destined for a career in showjumping,” said Jamie.
