RIDERS in Yorkshire will get the opportunity to see one of the world's leading riding coaches in action when Mary Wanless visits BishopBurtonCollege in March.

Mary, who has written five books on her 'Ride with Your Mind' technique, will be presenting her 'A Ride from Heaven' show at the college between 7.30pm-10pm on Tuesday, March 27. Many riders have found Mary's techniques useful, from those at novice level to international competitors such as KyraK yrklund and Sandy Howard.

The college's equine director, Kim Knightley, said she was looking forward to Mary's visit. "Mary is a very well-respected coach and author and her visit will be invaluable to both students and the general public, " said Kim.

"It's great that the college is able to offer this kind of event and we hope that people will want to come along and be entertained - perhaps even learn something new." The 'Ride with Your Mind' approach is a tremendous advance in teaching and learning. It shows any rider how to organise their mind and body in order to achieve results.

This technique enables each person to learn and to achieve the same results. The techniques used are very streamlined - by increasing the rider's body awareness and using images which help them to understand both what to do and how to do it, incredible improvements can be obtained in a very short time, defying traditional expectations.
