Veronica Whitfield has been appointed Deputy Head of Terrington Hall School. Her appointment takes effect from January 2015 when current Deputy Head Stephen Mulryne takes up his appointment as Headmaster on the retirement of Jon Glen.
Mrs Whitfield, whose teaching career spans 37 years, joined Terrington Hall's staff in September 1999 as Director of Music and a teacher of maths and English. With the expansion of the school, she was appointed Head of Middle School in 2004, and then Head of Junior School in 2011.
Headmaster Jon Glen said: "Held in great respect by pupils, parents and colleagues alike, Veronica is a consummate professional who holds the children's interests at the centre of all that she does. Together with Stephen Mulryne, I cannot imagine a better team to lead Terrington Hall into the future."
