ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) (AS AMENDED)

North Yorkshire County Council has made an Order which is to continue in force, under Section 15(5) of the above Act, the provisions of the Order NORTH YORKSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (PUBLIC FOOTPATH 25.109/6/2, KIRKHAM ABBEY, WHITWELL-ON-THE-HILL) ORDER 2016 NO 220 made on 4th May 2016, the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along

Public Footpath 25.109/6/2, Kirkham Abbey,

Whitwell-On-The-Hill, between grid references SE731658 and SE733657, in the District of Ryedale due to potential danger to the public. This extension has been approved by the Department of Transport (Ref: NATTRAN/Y&TTRO/320, Dated: 13th April 2017).

The maximum duration of the Order will be from 17th May 2017 until 16th November 2017 inclusive and it is envisaged that the remainder of the works will be undertaken over this timescale. The closure will be put into effect by notices and signs. Pedestrian access to premises will be maintained at all times. A local alternative route is available from Grid Ref SE731658 follow existing footpath in south easterly direction to the road; follow the road over the level crossing to meet the other point of the closure at Grid Ref
