DARLINGTON BOROUGH COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) 2020 NORTHUMBERLAND STREET, DARLINGTON

Darlington Borough Council intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under the provisions of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to close: NORTHUMBERLAND STREET From its junction with West Street eastwards for 28metres

An alternative route will be signed via

West Street, Victoria Road and Grange Road

and to suspend Schedule 40.01 of the

Darlington Borough Council (Moving Traffic)

Consolidation Order 2019, to allow two way

traffic on Northumberland Street

The Order is necessary to allow works to repair

a culvert by Northumbrian Water

The maximum duration of the temporary closure

under this Order is 18 months commencing

from 27th April 2020. It is anticipated that the

closure will be effective for 7 days.
