NOTICE OF MAKING THE YORK PARKING. STOPPING AND WAITING (AMENDMENT) (NO 14/11) TRAFFIC ORDER 2019 Notice is hereby given that on the 5th day of December 2019 City of York Council, in exercise of powers under Sections 1, 2, 4, 32, 35, 45, 46, 53 and Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 ("the Act") and of all other enabling powers and after consultation with the Chief Officer of Police in accordance with Schedule 9 of the Act, made an Order which has the effect of:
1. Introducing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions in York as follows:

(a) Don Avenue, on its east side, from the projected centreline of Nidd Grove north for 15 metres and south for 15 metres,

(b) Carlton Avenue, on its:

(i) east side, from the projected kerbline on its north side of Hull Road north to the projected northern property boundary line of No. 2 Carlton Avenue,

(ii) west side, from the projected kerbline on its north side of Hull Road north to the projected northern property boundary line of No. 1 Carlton Avenue,

(c) Jamieson Terrace, on its;

(i) north side, between the respective eastern property boundary lines of No.'s 30 and 32 Jamieson Terrace,

(ii) south side, from the projected western kerbline of Lome Street west for 12 metres,

(d) Lome Street, on its east side, from the projected southern kerbline of Jamieson Terrace south for 7 metres,

(e) Middlethorpe Grove, on both sides, between points 10 metres north west from the north western kerbline of Whin Road and a point 10 metres south east from the south eastern kerbline of Whin Road,

(f) Nidd Grove, on both sides, from the kerbline on the east side of Don Avenue east for 12 metres,

(g) Newland Park Close, on its:

(i) east side, between a point 12 metres north of its northern kerbline with Newland Park Drive and a point 15 metres south of its southern kerbline with Newland Park Drive,

(ii) west side, between a point 15 metres north of its northern kerbline with Newland Park Drive and a point 12 metres south of its southern kerbline with Newland Park Drive,

(h) Newland Park Drive, on its:

(i) north side, between the projected property boundary line of No. 25 Newland Park Drive and a point 15 metres west of the projected western kerbline of Newland Park Close,

(ii) south side, between a point 15 metres east of its eastern kerbline with Newland Park Close and a point 15 metres west of its western kerbline with Newland Park Close

(i) Rectory Gardens, on its:

(i) north side, between the projected eastern property boundary line of No. 4 Rectory Gardens and a point 18 metres east of the said line (terminal point of existing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions);

(ii) south side, between points 6 metres and 18 metres (terminal point of existing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions) east of the projected eastern property boundary line of No. 4 Rectory Gardens,

(j) St Mary's, on its north west side, between 82 metres and 84 metres south west from the highway boundary line on the south west side of Bootham, thereby revoking existing 'Residents Priority' parking restriction from within that length,
(k) Whin Road, on both sides, between points 10 metres south west of the south western kerbline of Middlethorpe Grove and a point 10 metres north east of the north eastern kerbline of Middlethorpe Grove,
2. Introducing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions in North Lane, Haxby, on its south side, between points 10 metres west of the western kerbline of North Lane to The Village Road and a point 10 metres east of the eastern kerbline of North Lane to The Village Road;

3. Introducing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions in Huntington as follows:

(a) Chiltern Way on both sides, from the kerbline on the north side of North Lane north for 10 metres,

(b) Cleveland Way, on its:

(i) both sides, from the kerbline on the west side of New Lane west for 13 metres,

(ii) north side, from the projected centreline of Pennine Close south west for 15 metres and north east for 20 metres,

(c) North Lane, on its:

(i) north side, between points 15 metres north east of the north eastern kerbline of North Moor Road (terminal point of existing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions) and 15 metres north east of the north eastern kerbline of Chiltern Way,

(ii) south side, between points 15 metres (terminal point of existing 'No Waiting at any time' restrictions) and 45 metres north east of the north eastern kerbline of North Moor Road,

4. Introducing 'No Waiting from 8am - 6pm Monday to Sunday' restrictions in Allerton Drive, Nether Poppleton, on its north side from the north western kerbline with Ebor Way and a point 75m north west of the said kerbline;

The Order comes into effect on 7th day of December 2019.

A copy of the Order incorporating relevant maps can be inspected at the Reception, West Offices, Station Rise, York, during normal business hours. Any person who wishes to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended or that a requirement of any regulation thereunder has not been complied with may, within 6 weeks from the date of making of the Order, make application for that purpose to the High Court.
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS Notice is hereby given that City of York Council (the Council), in exercise of powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (the Act), made an Order on the 5th day of December 2019 in respect of each of the locations numbered (1), (2), (3), (4), (5) and (6). Additionally, the Council, not less than 7 days from the publication of this Notice, intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Act in respect of the location numbered (7).
(1) STAMFORD BRIDGE ROAD (A1661. YORK This Order restricts vehicles to 40 miles per hour (mph) in that length of Stamford Bridge Road (A166), York between the projected western property boundary line of Providence Farm, Stamford Bridge Road and the projected northern property boundary line of Manorford House, Stamford Bridge Road (restricted road) during the period when carriageway lining and marking works being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0930hrs on the 9th day of December 2019 and ending at 1500hrs on the 13th day of December 2019 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely.
(21 SCOTT STREET. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Scott Street, York between its junction with Southlands road and the projected southern property boundary line of No. 72 Scott Street (closed road) during the period when water works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 9th day of December 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 10th day of December 2019 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(31 THORNFIELD AVENUE. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Thornfield Avenue, York (closed road) during the period when sewer works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 9th day of December 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 11th day of December 2019 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(4) TOWTON AVENUE. YORK This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding and waiting in Towton Avenue, York (closed road) during the period when water connection works being undertaken thereon, that period commencing at 0001 hrs on the 11th day of December 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 13th day of December 2019 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be signed during the works period.
(51 YORK ROAD LEVEL CROSSING. HAXBY This Order prohibits vehicles from proceeding through the York Road Level Crossing on Haxby Road, Haxby (closed road) during the period when track maintenance works are being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 2300hrs on the 12th day of December 2019 and ending at 0630hrs on the 13th day of December 2019 or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via York Road, A1237, B1363, Mill Lane, The Village, York Road and vice versa.
(61 SHIPTON ROAD/PARK & RIDE SITE. YORK This Order prohibits pedestrians and vehicles from proceeding in that length of cyclepath connecting Shipton Road with the vehicle access road to Shipton Road Park & Ride, York (closed cyclepath) during the period when sewer improvement works being undertaken thereon, commencing at 0001 hrs on the 9th day of December 2019 and ending at 2400hrs on the 31st day of March 2020 (works period) or at a time when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. An alternative route for diverted pedestrians and vehicles will be available during the works period.
(71 MILLFIELD LANE. NETHER POPPLETON This Order will prohibit vehicles from proceeding through Nether Poppleton Level Crossing, Millfield Lane, Nether Poppleton (closed road) during the period when track maintenance works are being undertaken thereon that period commencing at 2300hrs on the 18th day of December 2019 and ending at 0630hrs on the 19th day of December 2019 or on a date when the works have been completed whichever is the earlier. This is to ensure that the said works can be carried out safely. The prohibition on traffic (other than local buses) at the junction of Millfield Lane and Low Poppleton Lane will be suspended during the periods when the prohibition at the crossing is put into effect. An alternative route for diverted traffic will be available via Low Poppleton Lane, A59 Boroughbridge Road, A1237 York Outer Ring Road, Link Road between the A1237 and Millfield Lane and vice versa. The above temporary Orders will not prohibit works or emergency access nor will they prohibit access to premises provided that access is not prevented by on-going works or safety concerns. Traffic signs/barriers will indicate the extent of the prohibitions/restrictions. 6th December 2019
