DINEEN Mike The funeral took place at St. Gregory's Minster, Kirkdale on Friday, August 9th of Wing Commander (Retired) 'Mike' Dineen R.A.F. He and his wife moved to Keldholme when he took early retirement from the R.A.F. twenty-five years ago and many local friends joined family and ex-R.A.F. friends at the service. The family would like to thank all who shared their grief and offered support at this sad time, especially the Vicar, the Rev'd Susan Binks, the organist, John Hastie and the choir who sang so beautifully; also all who helped to make the interment run smoothly, the funeral director Mr. Dave Bumby and his wife, Michelle and the local friends who acted as pall bearers and Jeanette Kendall who sounded the Last Post and the Reveille; and to Kirkbymoorside Golf Club who provided a relaxed venue for refreshments and chat afterwards. Thanks are also due for the generous donations to our chosen charities: The Friends of St. Gregory's Minster and Mission Aviation Fellowship also R.A.F.A.
