LINDA Marlowe returns to Scarborough's Stephen Joseph Theatre with two one-woman shows, Berkoff's Women on Friday and No Fear! on Saturday.

Berkoff's Women is written by Steven Berkoff and directed by Josie Lawrence. Out of her unique 20-year association with Steven Berkoff, Linda Marlowe presents a theatrical exploration of sensuality, revenge, pathos, heart-breaking loneliness and riotous humour.

It will feature a compilation of some of Berkoff's female roles, excerpts from his plays, plus a newly dramatised story From My Point of View.

No Fear!, which was devised and written by Linda Marlowe, is a hilarious, provocative and poignant piece which follows a woman's progress through decades of radical, political change as she breaks boundaries, defies expectations and continually conquers her fears.

On the eve of her 100th birthday the world's oldest circus artist performs a mimed high wire act.

Based entirely on events in her real life Linda Marlowe re-enacts her many careers as daring divorcee, raunchy rock-chick, undercover operator, Amazonian adventurer, manic mother and professional free spirit. It is performed through music, mime, monologue and finally trapeze.

Tickets cost between £10 and £12.50 and can be booked by calling the box office on 01723 370541 or at www.sjt.uk.com
