MALTON and Norton golfer Simon Dyson narrowly missed out on prize money at the Joburg Open.
Dyson, a six-time winner on the European Tour, finished in joint 92nd place in a field of 210 players.
The event had been reduced to 54 holes due to bad weather and Dyson only missed the cut for final round by one shot. He had scored one under par (71) in his first round and three under par (69) in round two.
England’s Gary King won nearly £1,500 for finishing in 91st position. South Africa’s Darren Fichardt won the tournament on 15 under par.
Dyson, meanwhile, has stayed in South Africa for the Tshwane Open which starts in Pretoria tomorrow.
