PAUL Beesley enjoyed a dream start to his reign as player-manager of Harrogate Railway - scoring an 89th minute equaliser in a 2-2 draw at Barton Town Old Boys.
Beesley, 32, has quit Scarborough Athletic to return to a club where he previously enjoyed two spells as a player.
The result ended a run of four straight defeats for Railway of the Northern Counties East League premier divison.
Pickering Town missed out on a fifth consecutive league win as they were held to a goalless draw by Clipstone.
Selby Town threw away a two goal lead as they were held at home to Nostell Miners Welfare in NCEL division one.

Joe Leesley’s late equaliser for National League north side Harrogate Town denied hosts Bridlington Town a shock victory in the FA Cup second qualifying round.
Bridlington, of the NCEL premier division, took the lead after 19 minutes through Joel Sutton but Leesley spared his side’s blushes with a goal four minutes from the end.
Bridlington’s Will Waudby was shown a straight red card in stoppage time after swinging an elbow at Harrogate’s Wayne Brooksby.
The two sides meet again tomorrow night for a place in the next round.
