Shane Monkman at the Kay Trophy Trial at Ouseburn
A GOOD entry of 70 riders turned out at Ouseburn for Eboracum Motor Club’s Kay Trophy Trial on Sunday and a great battle developed between youngsters Ollie Kendra and Shane Monkman and the experienced Tom Hick.
Kendra, from Pocklington, grabbed the win by six marks after bettering York rider Hick on the difficult second section, while Wombleton’s Shane Monkman, in terrific form at present, had an awful last section, dropping 16 marks to slip to third.
