SCARBOROUGH Athletic climbed into a play-off position with a 2-1 win at Lancaster City in Evo-Stik League division one north.
Athletic are fifth going into the festive programme, which starts with a home clash against tenth-placed Mossley on Saturday.
The Seadogs stormed into a second-minute lead against Lancaster when Alex Peterson scored.
The home side equalised after 79 minutes with a goal by substitute Sam Bailey, but the Seadogs snatched victory three minutes from time through substitute Ryan Williams.
It was Scarborough’s third successive away victory.
