Keith Eddon got Working Men’s Club off to a winning start in week nine in the Pickering Darts League.

His 16-dart leg included scores of 1 x 137, 2 x 100.

Royal Oak captain Martin Cook hit back winning his match with a 20-darter and throwing 5 x 100, 1 x 140 in the match.

WMC stepped up to win 5-2 with Jonny Smith hitting 140, 125, 121, and 2 x 100 for legs of 23 and 20 darts.

Horseshoe ‘A’ kept up the pressure at the top taking all seven legs against Bay Horse. The bronzed Graham Steel showed no sign of his holiday blues opening with a 20-dart leg including a 140 plus a 100.

Billy Hague showed good form with legs of 20, 22 darts hitting scores of 2 x 123, 1 x 125, 1 x 100, and a 68 finish. Mike Brown made sure of the last point with a fine 106 finish in the three-a-side. Black Swan had a couple of scares before beating Horseshoe ‘B’ 5-2.

Shaun Lockwood put Shoe in front then Mark Dalby gave them a sniff at a shock result with a tidy 90 finish for a 21-dart leg.

Mike Linsley hit back to win his match with a fine 123 finish as Swan took control. In a tight encounter Sun Inn came from 3-2 down to snatch a narrow 4-3 victory over Bar 4.
