DERWENT Arms ‘B’ surged back to the top of Malton & Norton League division ‘A’ with a 6-1 win at Union ‘A’.
A combination of clinical finishing and Union’s missed chances saw Arms race 4-0 up through Ryan Gowdy, Andy Clarkson, Mark Lund and Guy Stevens.
Ron Taylor avoided the whitewash ahead of the pairs.
Royal Oak ‘A’ dropped to second as they lost their 100 per cent record in a 4-3 defeat to Bright Steels ‘A’.
Union ‘B’ put space between themselves and the bottom two as they edged Bright Steels ‘B’ 4-3.
Only two points separate the top two in division ‘B’.
Railway Tavern stayed in pole position by beating Gate Inn 4-3 in a rearranged match and Ham & Cheese 6-1. Hyde Park ‘A’ also won 6-1 against Blue Ball ‘B’.
