WEST PIER made it six wins out of six in the first division of the Scarborough & District League when they beat Ayton 4-0.

Danny Cooper, Andy Sheader and Neil Thomas put them three up by half-time and Gaz Thomas completed the scoring in the second half as they kept up the pressure on leaders Edgehill.

Union Sports Bar saw off Ryedale Sports Club 6-3.

USB strolled into a three goal lead in the opening 20 minutes thanks to Matty Turner and two great shots by Craig Rackham. Teenager Jordan Thackeray pulled a goal back for Ryedale before half time.

The three goal advantage was restored after the break through Liam Vasey's unstoppable 35-yard free kick before Matty Gardner reduced the deficit. Turner's second goal made it 5-2 and Terry Day scored USB's sixth.

Ben Thompson netted a final consolation for Ryedale.

Seamer Sports impressed with a 2-0 win at Whitby Fishermen. The points were secured with second half goals by Luke Purvis and Travis Wood.

In the second division, Edgehill Reserves went on the road to thump Snainton Reserves 6-1. Mikey Barker scored his first hat-trick for the club with Keith Skelton, Ellis Sellers and Maciek Kapynski getting the other goals.

Mikey Webster scored Snainton's consolation.

Filey Town Reserves maintained their impressive start to the season with a 6-0 victory over Athletico 2B. A brace of goals from Joe Gage (2), along with strikes from Martin Jenkinson, Billy Coyne, Scott Sheldon and Jordan Powell secured a thumping victory.

Cayton Corinthians were full value for their 2-1 home win against Newland Park Reserves. Franny Lightfoot scored to put Newlands ahead but Cayton hit back with two goals from Steve Roberts to clinch the points.

In the third division, Ayton Reserves had a superb 3-1 win at Eastway Sports. Craig Moss fired the home side into an early lead but Kieran Friett, Ellis Wilson, and Louis Messruther ensured it was all for nothing.

Humanby United and Filey Town's League Cup clash was postponed after the appointed referee failed to arrive at the game.

Edgehill trashed Sleights 14-1. Danny Collins scored five, Dean Craig netted a hat-trick while Jordan Shaw (2), Dan Jones, Lloyd Henderson, Aaron Jenking and Danny White also made hay.

Newlands Park were similarly impressive in an 11-0 win over second division Scalby. Adam Stride netted five times and Drew McCoubrey got a hat-trick. Danny Jenkinson (2) and Matthew Griffiths made up the tally.

But Westover Wasps were the top scorers of the day, beating FC Rosette 15-4. The Westover marksmen were Luke Jones (6), Liam Buglass (4), Josh Young (2), Aiden McCallion, Ryan Matson and Chris Hannam.
