HUNMANBY Cricket Club have folded due to a lack of players.
It is another blow for Scarborough area cricket following the demise of Oriel. Hunmanby have been playing Saturday cricket in Derwent Valley League division āCā.
All their fixtures have been wiped and Ganton 2nds, who were due to meet them in the Murray Brown & Son Cup, now have a bye through to the semi-finals. Lockton, meanwhile, have free passage to round three of the Home Guard Sunday Cup having been due to play Hunmanby in round one and Oriel in round two.
Oriel U11s and U9s are to fold. Oriel CC U13s are to continue, playing home matches at Staxton. Cloughton have likewise resigned their U15s team from the Derwent Valley Junior League.
