Jake's hat-trick for Brooklyn Under-13s
2:59pm Wednesday 12th September 2012 in Junior Sport
JAKE Ullah scored a hat-trick as Brooklyn Under-13s walloped Tadcaster 7-0 on Sunday.
Luke Scott headed Brooklyn in front, Josh Berry made it 2-0 before a Scott corner was volleyed in by Jake Ullah and it wasn’t long before Berry made it 4-0.
Tom Walsh rounded the keeper for the fifth. Tadcaster were kept at bay by defenders Josh Carter, Joe Tetlow, Ben Nendick and James Allan, leaving keeper Ben Pickering a virtual spectator.
A great left-foot shot from man of the match Ullah took Brooklyn’s score up to six and completed his hat-trick with the final goal. Kieran Shaw played his part in the win after returning from injury.
The previous Tuesday, Brooklyn lost 4-3 at Brayton, who snatched victory on the break.
An early Walsh shot came back off the post before Brayton went ahead.
Brooklyn responded with two Berry goals but the home side equalised only for Brooklyn to regain the lead when Berry completed his hat trick.
Brooklyn were dominating the second period when Brayton levelled against the run of play and won it with a breakaway goal.
* BROOKLYN Under-15s battled hard but lost 4-2 to a fitter and better organised Fulford side. Brooklyn’s goals in a 4-2 defeat came from a header by James Barret and a volley from Ryan Gaughan.
