TWO Ryedale schools have enjoyd success on the netball courts.

Ryedale School’s Year 10s team beat their Graham School counterparts 18-15 in the Scarborough & District netball final.

Graham finished the first quarter four points ahead but a spirited comeback saw Ryedale take the trophy.

Ria Williams stood out in the final for a team who have made fantastic progress this year.

Meanwhile, Terrington Hall’s netballers won their school’s under-9s tournament, which rounded off their season.

This event was played in a roundrobin format and Terrington beat Scarborough College 3-1, Queen Mary’s 3-1, Bramcote 2-0 and Bow School 7-1 and drew 2-2 with Cundall Manor.

They ended joint top of the table with Cundall Manor but won the trophy on goals scored, Terrington amassing 17 compared to Cundall’s nine.

Ryedale School’s Year 9 hockey team travelled to Caedmon School in Whitby to play their Ryedale & Whitby Partnership tournament, and qualified for the district finals by beating both Eskdale and Caedmon 1-0.
