BROOKLYN under-13s caused the upset of the season when they ended Rufforth’s 100 per cent league record with a 4-3 away win.

Goals by Iain Kerr (2), Bradley Freer and Robbie Butler saw Rufforth’s run of 12 wins out of 12 come to an end. The man-of-thematch award was shared between Jack Boyd and Freer.

Brett Crowe’s penalty was the consolation for Brooklyn U16s in a 4-1 home defeat against Pickering Town U16s with Joel Preston named their man of the match.

Josh Butler, Jack Wright, Conner Campbell and Ben Richmond shared the goals in Kirkbymoorside U16s’ 4-0 success against FC Seamer, while Callum Harrison (2), Keelan Simpson and Ryan Watson secured a 4-1 victory over Cayton for Kirkbymoorside U15s.

Goals from Marcus Brigham, after man-of-the-match James Barrett hit the post, and Morgan Fraser saw Brooklyn U14s defeat Wigginton 2-1.

Luke Balderson hit a hat-trick, and saw a cross deflect in for an own goal, as Pickering Town U12s rose to the top of their table with a super 7-1 win at Poppleton – all their goals coming in the first half.

Also on the mark were Ben Metcalfe, Owen Watts – a fine shot from the edge of the match bringing his first goal of the season – and Gabby McGill, with a splendid header from a Thomas Richardson corner.

Brooklyn U12s struggled to beat 10-man Osbaldwick 2-1 with goals from Tom Walsh and Josh Wade after Luke Scott’s shot had come back off a post. Scott also hit the crossbar with a late penalty.

Kirkbymoorside U12s went down 6-1 to Hunmanby with Lewis Eustace getting the consolation but Kirkbymoorside U11s ran out 6-0 winners against West Pier thanks to Oliver Magson (2), Joe Harland (2), Rory Leonard and Matthew Tarry.

Old Malton U11s caused an upset when they won 5-1 at top-of-the-table Poppleton Panthers thanks to a hattrick by Jake Wiles which included two penalties.

Tom Jenkins and Sam Mann were the other marksmen.

Pickering U10s ‘A’ hit Osbaldwick for six with no reply as Tom Wright (2), Jordan Anderson, Harry Coldbeck and George Ridler all scored, Owen Ellis earning the man-of-the-match honours.

Jack Dawson (4) led the rout as Pickering U10s ‘B’ went one better by beating Osbaldwick 7-0. Max Fowler, Ryan Hugill and Morwenna Talling were also on target.

In the friendly fixture, Fowler (2), Talling (2), Hugill and Dawson were joined by Zameze Deans and Alex Myers on the scoresheet.

Max Harlad scored the only goal in Kirkbymoorside U10s’ defeat of Eastfield, while Sam Jenkins claimed the sole reply in Kirkbymoorside U9s’ 5-1 loss to Scholes Park.

Brooklyn U9 Lions lost 2-1 at Wigginton ‘A’, with Thomas Davies netting for the visitors with a free-kick after Rowan Ford and Billy Leach efforts were cleared off the line.

Man-of-the-match Davies (2), Eden Cross and Leach were on target as the Lions won the second game 4-0.

Billy Chapman (4), man-of-thematch George Daisey (3), Ford and Lewis Saunders netted in Brooklyn U9 Tigers’ 9-1 triumph over Wigginton ‘B’.

A hat-trick by Oliver Towse and Ethan Oakes’ goal saw Brooklyn U8 Lions beat Carr Vikings ‘A’ 4-2.

Matthew Lock and Oakes were then on the scoresheet during a 2-2 draw in the second game.

Brooklyn U8 Tigers went down 2-1 to Carr Vikings ‘B’ with Max Farrow on target. A double strike by Rhys Grainge and another Farrow effort saw Brooklyn then beat the Vikings 3-2 in the next match.
