Ryedale School scored a netball hat-trick at Norton College.
Ryedale’s Year 7s beat their Norton counterparts 19-1 with Faye Thornton outstanding, the Year 8s, with an excellent performance from Ava Gillies, won 13-1, while the Year 9s won 31-23. The Year 9s now progress to the quarter-finals of the Scarborough & District Cup.
Ryedale School’s Year 11 rugby union team lost 42-10 to a strong Tadcaster Grammar School in the Yorkshire Cup. Jack Young and Luke Harper stood out for Ryedale.
Ryedale School’s year 10 basketballers thrashed hosts Malton School 68-8. Peter Pittaway and Jake Woodward scored 18 points each and Jack Hall and Ross Leckenby 12 apiece in an outstanding team display.
