James Rule will go to Doncaster Dome in April to compete in the national finals after another success at the English Schools table tennis regional qualifiers held at Graham Table Tennis Centre in Scarborough.

The event brought players from as far afield as Selby and Harrogate, with Ryedale well represented.

The best result for the area came in the under-13s category as Rule and Guy Harris, both of Ryedale School, played fantastic table tennis to reach the final.

However, Lady Lumley’s got revenge at Year 9, 10 and 11 level, winning both games 3-0.
