CHARLIE THOMPSON and Connor Biggins were the men of the match after their excellent second half performances helped Old Malton Under-11s to a comprehensive win over Dunnington in the York Minor League.

It took an excellent Alex Horton header to break the deadlock and Josh Mann’s powerful shot made it 2-0 at half-time.

Malt dominated the second stanza with Thompson scoring a fine hat-trick, and Biggins, Joe Judge, Nathan Dolphin, Horton, Mann and an own goal also finding the net. Dunnington bagged two consolation goals.

Brooklyn Lions U11s held on to beat Rawcliffe Warriors 3-2 in the teams' quick rematch.

The hosts were denied by the keeper and the woodwork until Ethan Oakes put Matthew Lock through to coolly finish.

Lucas Croft added a second goal just before half-time and Oakes scored a third on the break after Rawcliffe had come out fighting.

The visitors scored a late penalty and got a second as Brooklyn began to panic but the hosts still made it seven wins on the spin. Will Hartley was the man of the match.

Jack Simpson and Dan Wallis were the marksmen as Kirkbymoorside U16s won 2-0 at Rawcliffe in the York Minor League.

Depleted Heslerton U14s lost 6-1 at Seamer in the Scarborough Minor League.

A goal by new striker Josh Winstaley got Heslerton into the game and they pressed forward looking for more goals, Harry Ward and Leah Dobson going close, but Seamer sealed victory. Nadine Woodhead was the player of the match.

Kirkbymoorside U13s enjoyed a 5-1 win at Eastfield in the Scarborough Minor League with Jake Edwards-Nutton (2), Max Harland, Jack Biggins and an own goal finding the net.

Brooklyn U12s Girls won 2-0 at Scarborough and it would have been more but for fine goalkeeping and the woodwork.

Brooklyn soon got into their stride playing some slick passing football and took the lead through midfielder Florence Pegrum.

They continued to dominate in the second half and doubled their lead when fine passing was well finished by Emily Cooper. Katie Robinson was the player of the match.

Heslerton U10s battled brilliantly in their game at Fishburn Park and were rewarded in the second half with a fantastic goal from Charlie Richardson.

Lincon Welburn was man of the match in Heslerton U8s’ narrow defeat at Whitby Fishermen. Heslerton took the lead after a great passing was finished off by Max Taylor Barber. Rio Howden was the star man in the second game between the sides.

Goalkeeper Oliver Harrison was the man of the match with a string of fine saves in Heslerton U9s’ match at Flamborough.

Hezzy scored when Oliver Botterill, put through well by Jalen Welburn, was fouled in the box and converted the spot kick.

Oliver Dade scored his first goal for Heslerton U7s while Oscar Webb was man of the match in a keenly contested game at home to Scholes Park Raiders, which ust went the way of the visitors.

Game two saw goals from Warren Stanton, Webb and man-of-the-match Malachey Kendrew (2) in a fine Hezzy win.
