PICKERING Junior School had a successful day at the Lady Lumley’s Sports Cluster Year 5/6 football event with the boy’s and girl’s teams winning their competitions.
The boys beat Rosedale 4-0 and St Joseph’s 3-1, while the girls beat Rosedale/Norton 5-0 and St Joseph’s 4-1. Georgia Lippett showed great form as top scorer with a hat-trick in the Rosedale game.
Both teams now progress to the Ryedale and Whitby finals on Thursday at Eskdale School in Scarborough.
