TERRINGTON Hall’s Under-12s netball team has rounded off an unbeaten season with two tournament victories.
The first was at Barnard Castle’s U12 tournament, in which Terrington have previously been runners-up on three occasions, but never the winners, and the second was at Pocklington’s U12 tournament.
In the group stage of the Barnard Castle tournament, Terrington beat the hosts 4-1, Royal Grammar School Newcastle 4-1, Red House 9-2 and Yarm 5-2.
They secured a 9-1 victory against Queen Mary’s in the semi-final and retained their winning form in the final against Barnard Castle 4-2.
Natalie Glen, head of Terrington’s girls' games, said: "It was a great team performance but one player stood out all afternoon with her athleticism and determination as well as skill, and that was the player of the tournament, Amelia Blackburn.
"We were very pleased to at last get the name of Terrington on the trophy that has eluded us so many times."
At Pocklington, Terrington's first game was against four-times tournament winner Hymers whom they beat 9-0. They then saw off St Olave’s 'B' 14-0, Hull Collegiate 13-1, Pocklington 6-4 and St Olave’s 4-1.
Glen said: "It was a tremendous way to round off an unbeaten season."
