Kirkbymoorside Under-15s hit hosts West Pier for six in the Scarborough & District Minor League.

Jack Coldbeck led the way with a hat-trick in the 6-0 win, with Dan Wallis, Ryan Metcalfe and Ryan Watson also on the mark.

Brooklyn U15s fell 5-1 to Heworth in the second cup clash of the season between the sides.

A strong Heworth side had the wind at their backs in the first half and led 4-0 at the break. Robbie Butler bagged Brooklyn’s response 12 minutes into the second half.

Heslerton U16 led Scholes Park Raiders thanks to a Johnny Reed goal – but they ended up losing 3-1. Luke Smith was Heslerton’s man of the match playing out of position at centre-half.

Thornton-le-Dale U14s enjoyed an emphatic 8-2 win over Scholes Park. There was a hat-trick for Ben Norman and further goals for Johnny Ridler (2), Luke Hornby, Sam Batty and James Mudd.

Kirkbymoorside U13s went goal crazy at Heslerton U13s, winning 16-2.

The plunder was shared between Oliver Magson (4), James Farrow (3), Matty Tarry (2), Toby Higgs (2), Dan Ward (2), Ben Teasdale, Will Lockett and Thomas Hutchinson.

Conor Miles and Briony Fawcett netted for brave Heslerton.

Brooklyn U13s beat Thorpe Blues 4-1 in the York Minor League.

Player-of-the-match Jack Whattam got on the end of a free-kick to put Brooklyn in front during an otherwise poor first half.

The second half brought a better performance and goals for Oliver Townley, with a 20-yard half-volley and Jamie Allen, with a lob, plus an own goal and a consolation for Thorpe. Defender Jake Fraser was the players’ player of the match.

Harry Coldbeck and Jordan Anderson continued their scoring sprees with hat-tricks as Pickering Town U12s put in a cracking performance to win 7-0 at Flixton, The pick of the goals was Anderson’s turn and shot on the volley, while Tom Wright headed the seventh from a corner just before full-time.

Jack Balderson gave a strong performance in the middle of the park.

Arthur Rees scored four goals as Old Malton St Mary’s U11s came from 2-0 and 3-1 down to beat Elmpark 7-3 in the York & Ryedale Mitchell Sports League.

Rees broke their duck 30 seconds in the second half, and, after Elmpark hit their third, the Ryedale side finally came alive.

Thomas Alngohuro and Rees drew them level and, with outstanding passing and quick decisive plays from Myles Rodgers and Adam McWilliams, Malton dominated the last 25 minutes with further goals scored by man-of-the-match Rodgers, Hugh Wilkie, Rees (2) and an own goal.

Billy Fincham was outstanding in defence as Brooklyn U11s beat Easingwold 3-0.

Danny Charters crossed a free-kick into the box where Oliver Tetlow scored with a great header, and Rowan Ford tapped in a Lewis Saunders cross. Brooklyn had the wind advantage in the second half but did not capitalise on the conditions until near the end when Kyle Johnson fired home. Brooklyn U11s Girls impressed to beat Stamford Bridge U11s Girls 3-0 in the York League Cup. Brooklyn defended well with the wind against them, limiting Bridge to a few chances. In the second half, with the wind in their favour, Brooklyn soon took the lead through Florence Pegrum. Slick passing football brought a well-taken goal from Millie Crick, and good work from Katie Robinson and Shauna Yates set up the third finished off by Emily Cooper.

Pickering Town U10s had a hard-fought 2-0 win in their York Mitchell League division five match against Wigginton Whites.

A strong defensive display when playing up the slope and against the wind kept it scoreless at half-time, goalkeeper Billy Patch impressing.

Second-half goals from George Hodgson and Will Edwards, with a chip over a crowded area, then sealed victory. The man of the match was Ben Hugill.

Heslerton U10s kicked off the second half of their season with a 3-1 win over Ayton. Thomas Allan gave them an early lead and combined well with Charlie Thompson for a second.

Ayton got on top and hit back but the introduction of Alex Troop helped to get the home side back in the game and it was he who crossed for man-of-the-match Sam Owen to sweep home from the edge of the box. This sealed victory but the visitors still forced a stunning fingertip save from Josh Dolan.

Charlie Swiers scored four goals and strike partner Rio Howden one in Heslerton U7s’ game at Thornton-le-Dale U7s.
