Trail Biking: Milner fourth in Two-Day event

ADAM MILNER was pushed back to fourth place in the main event when 160 trials riders from all parts of the country converged on the Flask Inn near Robin Hood’s Bay to compete in the popular East Yorkshire Two-Day Trial.

Six riders remained unpenalised after day one, including Leavening’s Milner, Whitby’s Andy Chilton, Carlton’s Matt Maynard and Marton’s David Pye.

As pressure mounted on day two, Chilton kept it together to finish with a loss of just three marks and win the title for the second year running.

Maynard kept the pressure on until the last section which took five marks off him. Young Bradley Cox matched Chilton’s score on Sunday, but the two marks lost on the Saturday meant runner-up position for him. Scarborough’s James Carr was third on eight marks lost and Milner fourth on ten.
