Injured David Miller leads Yorkshire to thrilling Champions League t20 qualifying win

OVERSEAS star David Miller smashed an unbeaten 39 off 29 balls to lead Yorkshire to a five-wicket win over Uva Next in their opening qualifier for the Champions League t20.

The South Africa batsman's knock came in two halves after he was forced to retire hurt having been hit in the face by Umar Gul, only to come back and win the tie for the Tykes.

He found a more than useful ally in Adil Rashid, whose 36 off 30 was also central to Yorkshire's successful chase of Uva's 150-7 off their 20 overs.

Andrew Gale's men will be looking to clinch a place in the main competition when they take on Trinidad & Tobago tomorrow.
